Who can attend:
Parents whose children are about to choose between Gymi and Lehre, anyone interested in the topic, as well as children in Grades 4 and 5 and students in their first year of Gymi, are very welcome.
Ms. Biscevic, and Ms. Castano, Stadt Zürich, (Laufbahnzentrum) will provide insights into Switzerland’s education system, focusing on the academic high school (Gymnasium, or Gymi) and the apprenticeship (Lehre) pathways. The probationary period at Gymnasium would also be a main topic. Presentation slides will be in English, with key terms also shown in German. Chinese translations will be directly integrated into the slides.
Following the presentation, 3 parents, two or three students—one in an apprenticeship (Lehre) program and one attending a Gymnasium—will also share their personal experiences during a Q&A session. The discussion will be held in English, with Chinese translation provided as needed. A small outdoor Apéro follows.
